Hi, we are a family of 3 living in NW DC, Sara and I have been here since 2006, and Amalia just joined the party in 2022. We spend a lot of our time in and around the neighborhoodand surrounding area. Most weekdays Sara and Amalia can be found hanging with Amalia’s pals at the playground, Zoo, story time at one of the nearby libraries, or even walking around the neighborhood collecting rocks.

On weekends, we try to get out of the District and see our family in MD and do other fun activities.
We essentially need someone to take care of Amalia on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from about 8am to 12 or 1230. Most of the activities we get up to are walkable or a short bus or metro ride away. While activities are great, we are more focused on Amalia’s well-being than whether she follows an activity schedule. If it turns out things aren’t going to work out for story time, totally fine to pivot to a neighborhood walk or indoor activity, etc.
We are in Van Ness in DC about 2 blocks from the Metro. We are hoping to have someone part time through at least December 31 and will consider a more long-term arrangement as we approach the end of the year.
