Becca is Jewish American, and Waseem is a Palestinian Muslim citizen of Israel. We speak English and Arabic at home and live in Brookland. Our sons attended a year of Arabic preschool and now attend Sela Public Charter School, where they are learning Hebrew. We have a large but lazy 10-year-old dog named Uno. Both of us work full-time, and Becca's job is especially demanding. Becca also faces health challenges, having undergone many surgeries, with a major spinal surgery coming up soon.
We are seeking a confident, caring nanny for our two boys (ages 3 and 5). The ideal candidate will love children, be comfortable driving, and enjoy teaching them life skills like cooking and emotional regulation. We want someone excited to engage our kids in activities like bug hunts or museum trips in DC. Light housekeeping (mostly laundry) and occasional cooking (mainly when we're out, about once a week) are part of the role.
The anticipated schedule is 2PM-9PM Sundays through Thursdays, which is 35 hours per week. If a candidate was interested in a part-time role, we could make a 20-35 hour/week schedule work.
