My wonderful 4 year old son PJ and 1 year old son, Ford need a reliable, mature and consistent nanny. Ideally, our nanny would help out Monday-Thursday w/care for Ford throughout the day and pickup/drop off for PJ at TK(which is within walking distance of our house). However, our schedule changes given the day.
We would love someone who could support my son's needs because he has a communication disorder called Apraxia. He needs patience and someone who seeks to understand him. He also can get overwhelmed and frustrated when he is misunderstood, so we are working on using calm down strategies. Ford is an adorable toddler who loves to explore. He needs to be watched very closely, because he will put anything and everything in his mouth.
My husband is a police officer and I am a marriage and family therapist. Our nanny would need to be someone flexible and also understanding that as a law enforcement family, things can change quickly.
