We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) or Postpartum Doula (PPD) to support a lovely first-time family in Redondo Beach. They have a precious 9-day-old baby boy who, despite starting life with some feeding challenges and a bit of jaundice, is now eating and sleeping well. Mom is nursing and pumping, leaving her utterly exhausted and too anxious to sleep, so they are in need of someone to keep a close watch on their little one.
Responsibilities:

Monitor and care for the newborn overnight, ensuring he is comfortable, safe, and well-fed.
Assist with any feeding challenges, providing support for breastfeeding and bottle-feeding as needed.
Maintain a calm and soothing environment for both mom and baby.
Offer emotional support and guidance to mom, helping alleviate anxiety and promoting rest.
Keep detailed logs of the baby’s feeding, sleeping, and diaper changes to ensure consistent care.
LOCATION: Redondo Beach, CA

START DATE: August 30th

DETAILS: 2-4 Weeks, 2-3 Nights/Week (staggered)

SCHEDULE: 10 Hours/Shift

RATE: $40-45/hr

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experienced NCS or PPD with a strong background in newborn care
Compassionate, patient, and understanding
Reliable and professional, with excellent references
Dog friendly
