I'm a 29-year-old fiber arts instructor working with a community of people who are blind or visually impaired. The residents I work with are between the ages of 28 and 79 with various levels of abilities. In my day-to-day I work to meet my community where they are at and adapt the tools we use in the fiber studio so they are able to use them according to their level of ability.
Before working with this community I was an independent caregiver working with patients in memory care and who were in hospice through Graceful Guidance Homecare in Madison, WI. I have experience administering medication, accompanying clients to doctors appointments, as well as simply being a caring companion. I attribute my draw to this work to being raised by and spending my childhood with my Grandparents. Being surrounded by their stories and unconditional love has instilled a passion in me to give back through caregiving.

Lindsey has been an integral, reliable, fun and wonderful part of our family for over a year now. If you have the opportunity to hire her, I cannot recommend her highly enough. She has done school pick up three days a week for my kids for a full year and we are lucky enough to be heading into our second year with her in this position. She is reliable, communicative, kind, interested (and interesting!), and a true asset to our busy household. I'd give her 10 stars if I could!
