Sara’s Bio
I have been a Nanny since 2021. I had worked predominantly as a Baker/Pastry Chef for many years and often worked as a part-time care giver for children as well and the frail and/or elderly population (Family Service Agency, Santa Barbara, CA and PALS in Rockland, ME) before pivoting to full-time caregiving. In 2015 I returned to Chicago to take care of my 100-year-old father who passed away in 2018. He had short term memory loss and mild cognitive impairment but continued to be very sharp. I helped him with his ADL needs as well as keeping him engaged with life including the arts, friends, and family.
I am gentle yet firm when needed, empathetic, compassionate, and a good listener who loves engaging with elders in quiet conversation, walks outdoors, and going to museums, playing card games and more. I have part-time availability, mostly weekday mornings, some early afternoons. Early evenings are also a possibility. Part-time live-in care maybe an option.
