Hi, I’m Kalei! To be completely honest, I lost my grandmother at the end of April. She had bone cancer throughout her entire body, and the last month of it was rough. She was glued to a hospital bed as she didn't have the strength, nor energy, to do anything on her own. I spent almost every last day with her just being there, talking if she was up to it, helping her eat and drink when her appetite allowed, helping with medications on occasion, and more. As hard as it all could be, having nurses and aids there and her friends constantly coming to spend time with her day in and day out made a world of difference for her as well as the family since we couldn’t be there 24/7. I know she enjoyed having people around, and it benefited us to. This wasn’t something I’ve ever been exposed to in the slightest but now have quite a soft spot for. We all could use help or even just company at times, and you deserve to have time for yourself without feeling guilty or stressed as well. ❤️
