Hi, my name is Sonia, and I am currently offering child care, senior care, and household services. I would love to provide senior care for you.

I always try to make someone’s life happier, easier and better everyday. I love providing a listening ear to those needing emotional support and companionship. I have personally witnessed loneliness, boredom and sadness in my own dad’s life when he was stuck in a care home.

Everyone else continued living their lives — making him feel even more isolated and rejected. Now that he’s back home, I was able to spoil him (and my mom) by preparing homemade meals, companionship, and cleaning while he recovered from his many ailments. I have seen firsthand how much my dad has changed since he’s had my family and I around him.

I would like to share what I did for my dad with any senior out there who craves companionship with someone who is positive, compassionate, and caring.

I would encourage social and physical activity, such as partaking in their favorite activities. Social outings, board games, puzzles, going on a nature walk, shopping, chatting, or even sharing a meal together. I know all of those activities would remove all feelings of loneliness and boredom.

Studying communication arts and television journalism at university has enabled me to be an effective communicator and listener. I am also meticulously organised, tidy, and I love to cook and clean. I studied health and nutrition — meaning I can prepare healthy, soft foods that are easy to chew, so that they can get the nutrients they need.

I love children, animals, gardening, listening to classical music, reading, coloring books, watching documentaries, and walking.

I am a hard worker, honest, trustworthy, and a genuinely empathetic person who values integrity. I give you my word that I will look after them with respect, love, kindness and compassion.
