Hello my name is Tangela English!
I'm currently preparing for my Advanced Massage Therapist License. I'm 34 years of age and a mother of one! I love different genres of music, nature, fashion, artwork-creating)family oriented-fun. I love being of service because I love advocating for and being a caregiver for others. I've worked in early childhood education for over 10 years, ranging in the ages infants -schoolers! We also had an after school -summer program in our facility as well. I have been certified to drive the 15 passenger van for field trips, along with a.m.-p.m. bus run for my schoolers. I have lots of experience in hosting class parties, lesson planning, staff contest, kitchen, laundry,floater-a.m.-p.m. breaks) open & closing facility during operating hours, trainer for trainees, answering phones & taking messages, running local errands for the Learning Center Head Director, as well as being of service and building a great report with my students, parents!! I've gained experience with working from my home as a caregiver also for family and previous children who attended the learning center. I'm skilled at being first aid-CPR certified,Certified in Handle With Care through Dallas Behavioral Hospital( patient restraints). I have 4 years of experience as a Mental Health Tech, working with the youth ages 5-17 years of age and 18-the elderly(blind,wheelchair bound ,autism) working the 16 hr weekend double shifts with Dallas Behavioral Hospital. We followed a daily schedule with our PT(patients) served breakfast, gym,outdoor activities,laundry, checking for safety hazards, maintenance on the unit, we also kept a mandatory daily log of observations by doing Q15 or Q5(logging minutes-hours of daily movements for entire shifts and passing them on when shift changes. I've trained our trainees as well while keeping a report with Nurses Unit. I have assisted the licensed Therapist,RN,Music therapist, Dr.- Nurse Practitioner's whether doing activities for their scheduled sessions or meeting for a well check-meditation etc! As an MHT we also had to do our own isolated group sessions and obligated al signs for each shift change with our unit. I have experience with 1:1's by shadowing one patient due to the patient having restrictions due to Dr. Orders!! I also survived the pandemic after having to Quarantine multiple times with my patients by Dr's. orders due to caring for my patients who contracted the virus and the entire unit due to coming in contact.
