I’ve been a caregiver since 1989. I have a natural disposition since young age to help and nurture those in need. My first experience as an adult caregiver, was with my own grandmother back in 1986 when she was terminally ill and bed ridden with cancer. I took care of her for a year before she died. A profound personal experience that took me then to pursue a career in nursing. I could not continue with my college education, but I did continue working in nursing in different facilities such as nursing homes and hospital. In 1996 moved to Houston and I became a Medical Assistant; field in which I worked from 1997- 2001. After 9/11 I decided to stay home with my kids, back then 11, 3 and 9 month old baby. I return to work for private care in 2006 and I work in private home healthcare until 3/2020 when pandemic hits and lost my last patient. I haven’t officially work in health care for the last 4 years. I’m fully bilingual Spanish and English, strength train, skillful in mobility and transfers from bed to chair, chair to bed, standing to sitting, ambulatory exercises, medicine and treatments applications under supervision and according to prescribe plan, great cook, excellent people and communication skills.
