My first job ever was at a nursing home. I worked with several patients that were suffering from Dementia and Alzheimers. I gained a ton of knowledge and training about the disease that many people still dont know. Mostly i gained experience and motivation. I joined the military to assist me in pursing my goals to become a Registered Nurse. I now do both (nursing and military) as well as being a mother myself to my two little boys. I am married and my husband helps a ton! I think being a care companion is not only my way to help other it is also a way i can show my boys the importance of helping people and why its so important to give back.
