Growing up in a small family, I've always met friends in those who need it. I am the same way when it comes to being there. Everyone always needs someone to help, whether that may be gardening, helping with chores or even something so simple like baking or helping with medications. I am so happy to have the skills throughout my high school and college years from people of all walks of life and histories.
My grandfather was diagnosed with Dementia 5 years ago and it was the hardest walk of my life. I helped with meals, sponge baths, chores and yard help. I wanted to make sure he was comfortable for the rest of his time with us. That's what it's about; being there and helping others ease into a peaceful position.
