I was a caregiver 2008-2010 in Mont Belvieu,TX for an invalid stroke victim woman,70yr,and her husband 70,as supervision for both, live-in companion/ caregiver, in charge of toileting,wheelchair transition,bathing, dressing,putting to bed, cooking,housework,laundry,shopping,etc. For my own private room/ bath room & board.
I enjoyed this position for the entirety, until the man started needing care as well, It proved to be a much demanding position,no time off for my own family life miles away,my parents were ill as well.
So I left with notice on good terms with the family who understood.
I relocated to Grapevine TX to work for a Hotel/ Waterpark Great Wolf Lodge as park service attendant soon after, I started out in housekeeping depth. I was employed for 14 yr. there, I enjoyed my jobs, I got promoted to frontdoor greeter,as I was older, now I am ready to think about retirement, so I gave up the position,for part-time.
That didn't work out,so I ended up leaving to pursue other part-time positions until I can retire.
I love working with the public, people person, I am also a mother to 5 grown sons, 13 grandchildren,
I am most definitely a family- oriented job seeker.
