I have worked with AISD as a full-time teacher assistant for 14 years. Here I have had the pleasure of working with special education kids of all age groups from elementary-school age to high-school age. From assisting them with educational needs to supporting them in personal matters regarding their health and well-being, I have continuously learned to adapt to each child’s needs. I’ve taken multiple trainings and am trained in CPR however I am not currently certified (I could get my certification if that would make you feel more at ease). In addition to my professional life, I have acted as my parents’ caregiver for the past 10 years. I provide them with transportation, schedule their appointments, keep track of their medications, and keep them company. My parents have recently had to take a long-term trip out of town so there are no concerns in my mind about leaving them unattended.
