Hello, my name is Denise Goodwin. I am 56 years old, look 40 and have the energy of a 20 year old! I am a loving, reliable, responsible and ethical caregiver, experienced with twins, triplets, special needs, and the elderly. I hold an Associates Degree in Childcare. I have four years of experience in elder care as a Certified Nurse’s Aide at Blaire House Nursing Home, New Bedford, Massachusetts, with two years on the Alzheimer’s Unit. I worked for ten years at Crystal Springs Residential School for Retarded and Handicapped Children, Assonet, Massachusetts as a Child Care Aide as well as a House Supervisor. CPR Adult, Child, Infant certified. Most recently I worked as a caregiver for a family of five. The two children are 5 and 7 years old and the grandmother, who passed last year, had Alzheimer's. I cared for all of them for three years. In June of this year I relocated from San Diego to Round Rock, Texas. I am a non smoker and in excellent health. I have a valid Texas license. I am driving a 2010 Toyota Prius, Texas insured with a clean driving record. Presently taking violin and art lessons just to learn something new. I enjoy being with friends, reading, the beach and swimming, most sports, being outdoors, all forms of arts and crafts, pet sitting and have recently discovered the joys of yoga. Born the fifth of six children I always look forward to going back east and spending time with my family when I can. I am a born nurturer and feel it is both a privilege and honor to be part of helping to care for children and elderly in any capacity.
