I have taken care in the past of my grandmother and mother. My grandmother had dementia, and sadly passed on May 5th of 2020. She required round the clock care, which my mother provided; however, I made sure to run any errands, help with preparing meals, visit to make them both feel loved, and provide encouragement along the way. I have taken care of my mother's cousin, age 78, who was recovering from knee surgery. I provided meals, administered medicines, walked the dog, administered physical therapy, helped her up and down from her chair, and assisted with any favors she needed around the house. I have also held positions taking care of 4 senior ladies at different time periods who were diagnosed with dementia, and can provide letters of recommendation. I have helped out with medication reminders, meal prep, safety supervision, light housekeeping, transportation, and many other duties that are listed on the resume I will provide. I have a heart for older people, and quite frankly, have many more older friends of senior age than I do of my own age. (48). I love to sit and chat with older people; they have so much wisdom and character, and I find them so incredibly genuine and sweet. I do want to be honest; I do not have any formal training, or certifications. I just have a heart for the older generation, and love to help out when I can.
