Hi, my name is Meagan Jeffcoat. I am 23 years old and currently an in home nanny for 2 children, ages 16 months and 3 years. I have experienced in both caregiving for elderly and children as I have also been a CNA at a nursing home facility, but unfortunately had to leave for school and working in childcare was a little easier with time. I am certified in CPR and have been through a semester of nursing school, including fundamentals with a clinical at another nursing home facility. While a CNA and during clinicals, I did the duties listed below:
-Assisted clients in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including dressing, eating, toileting, ambulating
-Monitored vital signs and reported findings to nurse in charge of the client
-Reported any findings during the assessment to nurse, including skin, toileting habits, range of motion
I am currently looking for part-time work as I am going back to school online and would like to find a family where I can tend to one or two clients, making it a bit more close environment instead of 20 patients. I could then give more attention and detail to the fewer clients, giving better care and companionship.
