Beth V. Care Companion in Philadelphia, PA 19119

Hello, I love caring for children and I have been babysitting since I was in college and I am still at it. I had a career first as a teacher and then as a librarian. I was not a traditional librarian but I worked for a government agency and then I finished by being a library consultant to corporation. While I worked as a librarian in the DC area during the day my evenings and weekend were mostly caring
for children. I would occasionally take a weekend off and sneak over to the Kennedy Center since I had season tickets to the National Symphony. I moved to Philadelphia to be near my daughter and family. I have continued my care duties here.

I like singing songs, reading and playing games with little people.
I am a fit grandmother able to climb stairs.
I have cared for infants up to a 28 year old non verbal neuradivergent. I have been a companion to a lady in the early stages of dementia.
One of my memorable jobs was caring for the governor of Virginia.
But, I have to say something that gave me joy was taking care of my two grandchildren. I have such a crush on them. One would think I was a rock star when I came for a visit but alas they are teenagers and just grunt at me. My daughter is proof that will change.
