Hi, my name is Jane and I have worked in healthcare since I was 19 and now I'm 54. I've worked in nursing homes and in a hospital for 13 years. I have experience in dementia, heart patients, arthritis and joint replacements, Parkinson's and other issues. I'm a friendly, caring person with the gift of gab and people I take care of are very comfortable with me. I'm vaccinated. I have no problems with pets, I have beagles and they are 2 spoiled dogs. I enjoy reading, crocheting and counted cross stitch. I'm not CPR certified but I have done CPR and keep up with the updates. I worked on a cardiac unit as a technician, it was a pre/recovery for the cardiac cath lab at LVHN Cedar Crest Allentown for 13 years and I picked up a lot on the job. I'm not first aid certified but have experience with wounds. My husband needed to have 5 surgeries on his leg to save it after having a terrible accident. I did dressing changed on his leg for approximately 4 months while it was healing. I also took care of my husband by myself when he had ALS. I lost him in November 2021. He was only diagnosed in February of that year. I did everything for him and that's the way I wanted it because I knew he wouldn't have been comfortable with anyone else. My father has Alzheimer's and I help with him a lot too. Sometimes my parents will stay at my house for a week at a time. My background has helped me a lot with helping him. Also, I have experience with home IV's as my husband was on IV antibiotics and IV meds for his ALS. I hope that you consider me for the position. Thank you for taking the time to read my bio.
