I am a married mother of 4 young adults, with my youngest son still in high school. I have spent the past 20 years as a homemaker and caregiver to my family, which I have felt very fortunate to be able to do. Prior to that, for 8 years I was a pharmaceutical sales representative for Merck Pharmaceuticals. I am a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a major in Behavioral Neuroscience.
Since I've been home caring for my family, my volunteer activities with seniors include volunteering at St. Michael the Archangel (formerly St. Bernard's Church) in a group called Martha's Ministry. We perform various functions, but more than anything we organize and deliver meal trains and visit primarily seniors during times of need, for example, health crisis, surgeries etc. I also work with the senior volunteers at St. Michael the Archangel making apple pies for two weeks out of each year, which is a fundraiser for the school. I have continued to be an active participant each year long after my children have graduated from the school because I really enjoy interacting with the many seniors that faithfully turn out each year. From approx. 1996 until 2002 I was an active member of Mount Lebanon Junior Women's Club and held various roles including president of the club. One of the organizations we worked with during those years was delivering meals for Meals on Wheels once a week, which I actively participated in. Other roles I have held are Girl Scout leader, and Cub Scout leader to my daughter's troop and my son's pack, and I coordinated the T.A.G. (Traveling Art Gallery) program at St. Bernard's grade school. My interests include cooking, exercising, skiing, reading, spending time with my family and socializing with friends. Our 4 children have been involved in various sports at both the high school and collegiate level and our youngest son is on the MtLHS football team. My husband and I enjoy going to various high school sporting and theater events.
