I am a recent college graduate and am wanting to pursue a career in medicine. My main drive in wanting to become a doctor is the ability to help people. My grandparents from the Philippines lived with us for a few years and I was the one who was mainly at home to take care of them. One of my grandparents has Parkinson's Disease so I had to physically help her with a lot of daily activities as well as keep all of them company while I was at home. Throughout college, I volunteered with various organizations on campus to go to local nursing homes to provide company and aid to the senior living in those centers. Bottom line, I may not be a doctor yet, but I am willing to do a job where I am able to help someone else as that is my passion in life.
