I have been a CNA for over 10 years. I enjoy working with the elderly and hearing their life stories. The elderly have so much to offer-wisdom and life experiences. They need to know that their life does have purpose.
I have worked in private homes, for an agency, and in the memory care unit in a long-term care home. Some of the duties included: helping with bathing, dressing, toileting, food prep, taking to appointments or errands, light cleaning, laundry, medication reminders, playing games or puzzles, and companionship.
I was also a caregiver to my parents and my mother-in-law.
