Jamila’s Bio
Hello, welcome to my Profile!
Hope you and your loved ones are safe during this puzzling time.
My name is Jamila, I am 23 years old and aspiring to be an Occupational Therapist.
I am a graduate student with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedicine (Hons).
I studied in the UK and lived in several countries; Switzerland, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Nigeria. I have a lot of experience working with different cultures and in no way discriminate against anyone and would love to find a family that feels the same.
I have a diligent work ethic and I am a caring, patient and responsible individual with an understanding that every child has their specific requirements and needs. I have 3 brothers so can work with both girls and boys.
I have several experiences working with children from ages 1-17;
- I volunteered with children at an All Special Kids camp, there we worked on improving the childs confidence, social skills, educational classes and went on exciting trips.
- I shadowed an Occupational Therapist at Blytherdale's paediatric hospital
- I internship at a non-profit where children can come in and help sort and ship medical supplies to developing countries.
- Finally, worked with an 11 year old with ADHD and got him engaged in his remote online learning classes.
Thank you and please feel free to ask me anymore questions!
