Hi there!

I've retired from a human services career and now have the opportunity to do something else that gives me a lot of joy!

In the past few years I have taken care of just 6 clients, most with dementia or Alzheimer's. I do this work p/t and with few clients in order to avoid burnout or assembly line care. I'm invested in each person/family, creating personalized and heartfelt care, viewing my role as part of a team. I know that the aging or illness of a family member can take a tremendous toll on the caregivers, so I endeavor to provide true respite and peace of mind and view my role as part of a team.
I strive to do this respect, without infringing on autonomy or stepping on pride.

I value the wisdom and stories elders have to share and find that being an eager listener can built trust when someone may be hesitant to accept help after a long life of independence.

It’s important to me to be able to offer continuity of care when requested. I am available to provide companionship, support, and advocacy if/when my clients have a hospital stay or move to a care facility.

I'm comfortable helping care for pets along with their person. I’m vaccinated, accept online payments, I’m a non-smoker, and LGBTQ friendly! Local transportation is included in my fee. Also I’m experienced with Lewy Body dementia, and developmental disabilities.
