Hi there, I’m Veena and I consider myself a big people person! Most of my life and passions revolve around human connection and learning the stories of people of all ages. I currently work for Queens public library and find that a public library might be one of humanity’s greatest inventions. I love spending my days interacting with people from different walks of life as well as reading about it through various forms of literature.

Being a part of the library has given me the opportunity to connect with people with so many different experiences and perspectives. It really makes me realize how you can learn so much about so many things from a simple conversation as well how important community is. Previously I had worked at a school for children with developmental disabilities as mental health advocacy is also a big passion of mine. I believe that human regardless of age, health or means deserves to share their story and feel fulfilled.
