Jacob H. Care Companion in New York, NY 10032

My name is Jacob. I am a recent college graduate and new to NYC. I moved from NC to pursue a career in theatre. My care experience began with my mother who suffered from Stage IV Lung Cancer. Over time she lost the use of her legs and needed one to one care at all times. She unfortunately passed in January but providing care for her inspired me to pursue employment at Camp Spearhead in SC. Camp Spearhead is a summer camp for Children and Adults with Special Needs. It was there that I discovered I love providing care, friendship and unconditional acceptance to those who need it. Since my move to the city I’ve been working mainly in the food service industry but can’t seem to leave behind the possibility of getting to use the skills and compassion I gained over my time taking care of my mom and working at camp. I am a positive person who has a very big heart and lots of love and good energy to share. I love to be creative and make people laugh and laugh with them. I want nothing to make friends with the individual I am caring for while at the same time, providing them with the greatest care I can offer them. I think with my past experience and compassion and dedication to helping others, I could be a spectacular care companion for your loved one.
