Hey, I'm Marian! I've been working as a respite worker and a Com Hab worker for just shy of three years now for young adults with special needs in the Long Island community. I came to this job from years of experience caring for and tutoring children and teens with special needs, as well as having grown up with two siblings with special needs (Down Syndrome and Muscular Dystrophy). My unique life experiences have allowed me to understand the true ins-and-outs of home care/respite work from both the employee and employer position. I have experience working with young adults with Autism, Down Syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy, General Delays, and Seizure Disorders, as well as individuals utilizing wheelchairs and ventilators.

Overall I'm a creative english-geek type who can often be found doodling or reading a great book! I love art, and work part-time as a graphic designer, so I'm a great fit for anyone into creative projects! I love to cook and bake, and I've even been known to make a killer mac n' cheese from time to time!
