I have around 2 years of experience working with special needs and developmentally disabled populations. I have worked in both residential and day habilitation settings for both adults and children. Residentially, I worked as a Direct support professional and was a certified AMAP during that time. Within a Day Hab setting, I worked as a respite specialist and head counselor in the summer and year around the program for children with special needs. As a companion, I strive to help individuals make independent choices and explore their passions. I am flexible and always work to meet my clients where they are at.
