Julie’s Bio

Hello! My name is Julie, and I am a postpartum doula keen on prioritizing care work that centers being an advocate, joy-seeker, and companion for families and individuals desiring community support during periods of great transition.

I am currently looking to support families with babies 0-11 months old for anywhere between 10-30 hours weekly, and my rate is $40-$45. During a shift I can help out with baby care to give you time and space to have a few hours to yourself (this includes developmentally-appropriate play, feeding support, diaper changes, nap time, walks outside), prepare meals for your family, do light housekeeping, and be a familiar face to connect with and seek support from as needed.

Support across a variety of branches can look like:

Emotional support - processing your birthing experience, supporting identity shifts, connecting to mental health support, identifying ways to uplift wellness, providing guided meditations, holding space for tears and emotional processing

Logistical support - identifying networks of support among family and friends and delegating tasks, setting up “postpartum stations” around the house, setting up a meal train, light housekeeping (dishes, laundry, pet care, bed-making)

Physical support - preparing nourishing food for the whole family, drawing an herbal sitz bath, guiding gentle movement, providing a foot or hand massage

Educational support - assisting you in identifying infant cues and communication, discussing safe sleeping, demonstrating diapering and bathing, support with babywearing, demonstrating feeding positions and referring out for additional lactation/feeding advice

Infant care - watching over your newborn so that you can take a break to sleep, shower, eat, and do anything that makes you feel more grounded.

Really, anything! Above all, I will show up as more than just a visitor hoping to spend time with the baby - I am here for YOU, to uplift your parenting and honor your boundaries and needs. Tell me what you need and we will make it happen.

Overnight support available as well.
