Being a caregiver is a such a fulfilling act for me in that it allows me to befriend, help, and learn through those who share completely different life experiences and perceptions than me. As my main caregiving experience has been through assisting a 45 year old visually impaired individual with everyday tasks such as transportation, cooking, grooming, and technology usage, I got to form a strong friendship with this woman, and learn more about the blind community and the struggles and pleasures they may face. I'm both trained and certified in sighted guide and CPR, and a caring and empathetic individual whose main priority is making the people I work for comfortable, joyful, and trusting towards myself.
