Dear Parents,

I am a 42 year old female college student. I recently graduated from CUNY's Borough Manhattan Community College; I received an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education; I am currently attending St. Joseph’s College to pursue a BS in Nursing. I have been working in NYC Public Schools as a Paraprofessional, and have had the privilege to utilize my strong educational background in a variety of socio-economic settings with diverse student populations and a broad range of age groups - including nursery, pre-school, lower elementary, and high school.

I am currently seeking a position where I can consistently learn new things from children and have them in turn learn new things from me. I do not agree with those care takers who prefer to sit in the house all day and watch T.V. Children should be playing in the park or on a play date with their peers, this stimulates their minds and opens the door to a myriad of learning experiences. I encourage socialization and communication while making them feel safe and loved. I am energetic and always willing to go the extra mile to make kids happy - I also love to see children in the creative process and watch their imagination blossom.

I am available during the week through out the summer; I am also available to work weekends if needed, specifically nights.
