Hello,
I’ve been in healthcare since I was 21 and love caring for people and hearing their stories. My first healthcare job was as a CNA at a nursing home but I have experience in nearly every aspect of healthcare. I’ve also worked as an MA, BHT, as well as a PCT.
I do have a current BLS certification, along with vaccinations for TB, Covid, and Hep A and B.
I was interested in healthcare from an early age due to family mental and physical issues. I was pained by the treatment I saw of my loved ones and want to be that person that can reprieve others of the same pain. Working with a vast variation of people including children with behavioral issues, adults with psychiatric issues, working ICU, ER, and medical/surgical, I sympathise with everyone.
I have honed many skills, such as attention to detail, communication, the taking of vital signs, dealing with medical records, and patience. I’m willing to bathe and toilet residents, but most importantly keep them company by listening!
I love animals, having a cat and a rabbit. I have also grown up with dogs and am willing to care for them as well. I’ve had freshwater fish in the past and am not opposed to caring for any living being. I volunteer at Street Cat Hub (they vaccinate and spay/neuter stray kitties free of charge, before returning them to their home) as well as Happy Rascal Ranch that takes in horses and donkeys that are retired or no longer wanted. Whether human, animal, or plant, I want to make a difference in a life!
