I am a hospice Social Worker who has been in the field for 23+ years. The majority of people I work with are seniors, and I love spending time getting to know them, hearing their life stories and making their day happier. In 1994 I graduated with my Masters in Social Work from NYU, shortly after obtained my LSW (licensed Social Worker). When I was 13 years old I volunteered at a nursing home which I enjoyed, you can learn so many things about life from the elderly. In my current position with hospice I visit people at home, nursing homes and assisted livings. I provide emotional support, companionship, and help with community service if needed. I also enjoy supporting families and guiding them through this journey. I would really enjoy helping the elderly and families in my community, I see there is a great need for this assistance.
