Hello! I am a future nursing student with an extensive childcare resume and ample experience helping others through volunteer work. I am first aid and CPR certified, have an excellent driving record, and have safe, reliable transportation.

I have been trained as a Nursing Assistant and have forty hours of clinical experience at an extended care facility under my belt. Though I really enjoyed spending time with and caring for the elderly residents, I decided that work in a nursing home was not for me. The resident to caregiver ratio made it impossible to give residents the attention and diligent care they deserved. I am interested in forming relationships with my clients, not simply checking off a to-do list.

While I have only limited experience in eldercare, I think my thoughtful and patient personality will make me an excellent care companion.

I recently moved to Durham to be closer to my partner and to attend nursing school. I would love to find a part-time position (15-25 hours) with a family in the Durham area. I will be available for in-person interviews starting March 6 and can begin work the second week of March. Until then, I am happy to interview via telephone or Skype.
