I became a nursing assistant in 2021 after giving birth to my 4th son. I've worked at multiple hospitals and nursing home facilities through the years meeting and caring for many different types of residents and patients. The thing I find most rewarding about being a nursing assistant is being able to help others at vulnerable stages in their lives. I truly believe you have to care about what you do. To quote my favorite resident I've ever had(a retired RN), "You have to treat the patient, not the machine!"
