I am a mature hardworking woman of extreme integrity. I have worked for 3 patients with Alzheimer. Two of them have passed on. They were very dear people and I truly enjoyed my experience with them. I want to share my experience with the 3rd client and I will call Mrs. X.
Mrs. X. was a Hospice patient. I was told she was on hospice because she wouldn’t eat. I began to talk to her and asked if she wanted some of the oatmeal I bought for myself, she said yes. After she ate all of the oatmeal I discovered that she would eat if I cooked soft, tasty foods. Before long she was eating all day. The family was very happy and amazed that she was eating and getting along well. I cared for her and prepared all of her meals, ran errands, reminded her to take her medication, talked and socialized with her, played cards, watched television, prepared her clothes, washed and provided care from Monday to Friday.
