I work in an Adult Foster Home as a Direct Support Professional and have worked there for the last 2 years. I love helping out in my community, and it is always worth the hard days when I get to help someone. I have experience caring for adults with physical, and mental disabilities, and I am certified to administer medication. I also have overdose response training, and I'm a mandated reporter.
In the Foster Care, I enjoy taking residents out on walks, or to the library. Getting out of the house and into the community can be important! I also love to play card and board games, and always appreciate learning more about others and their lives.
