I love being a caregiver because it allows me to make a positive impact on people's lives. The ability to provide comfort, support, and companionship to those in need brings me a sense of fulfillment and purpose. In terms of experience, I have worked as a caregiver for several years, providing care for individuals of varying ages and with diverse needs. For example, I’ve worked in a couple of nursing homes and I’ve sitted for various family members and friends. This experience has equipped me with the skills and knowledge necessary to offer high-quality care tailored to each individual's unique requirements. As for skills and training, I have received formal training in areas such as medication administration, and dementia care. Additionally, I possess excellent communication skills, empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature, I continuously seek to enhance my skills and knowledge through ongoing training and professional development opportunities to ensure that I can provide the best possible care to those I serve. -- I’m 21 years old and currently a manager at a deli here in Battle Creek. I’m also working on my associate's degree in criminal justice at Kellogg Community College. When I’m not juggling work and school, I love spending time outdoors—hiking, kayaking, and camping are some of my favorite activities! I also enjoy coloring, reading, and drawing in my free time. Spending quality time with friends and family is super important to me too!
