Julie S. Care Companion in Reisterstown, MD 21136

I reached back out to Julie after several months because she wasn't available during the time-frame that we needed her. On a Tuesday she and I had a conversation about meeting on Thursday at 7:30pm at my home so that she could see our son in his environment and meet with our current sitter. We texted that same Tuesday regarding the pay for the position, which is when I sent her my address.

She did not show up on Thursday and I waited 23 minutes to text her about whether or not there was a misunderstanding about the time. She responded almost an hour later that I she didn't have the address. I advised her that I did and her response was "No you didn't".

Not only was her response unprofessional at the least, but if she supposedly never received the text, she should have picked up the phone to call me or to send me an email through Sittercity because we had already agreed on a specific day, time and location. This severely inconvenienced not only myself and our son's evening routine but it also was an inconvenience to our current babysitter's schedule.

Her excuse was that she assumed that I had found someone else when she "didn't get my text". (Note: My phone shows if someone has read the text or not)

If I could give her a less than one star I would. She was half an hour late when I heard from her via text after I texted and called her. She said she made it to my street but it was too steep and scary and turned around. Wouldn't a phone call at that point have made more sense instead of waiting so long to let me know via text?

I am new to the area but where I come from this is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Julie has been awesome with my kids and reliable. I felt very comfortable leaving her with my two children!
