Schronda’s Bio
I am very interested in the companion care position.
I am a certified Med Teach with experience working part-time with the elderly and children in hospitals, clinics, assisted-living facility, and nursing home. During this time, I learned a lot about the special needs of the elderly and I have the ability to provide professional but courteous service.
I have nursing skills to provide the basic health care services such as checking vitals and I know what signs to look for that could indicate a problem. I can lay out the medication for the patients and check to make sure they are taking it correctly. I also have the stamina to assist the individuals by helping them in and out of bed, getting dressed, bathing and with their meals. I have served clients with dementia, Parkinson disease, heart failure, mental illness, cancer, artistic disorders and sickness.
I have the flexibility to work within your love one at an facility or to travel to the patient’s homes. In addition to helping patients with their daily activities, I also have the ability to perform light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, washing dishes, doing laundry, changing bedding, preparing healthy meals and monitoring the patients to ensure they are eating their meals.
I have outstanding time management skills with the ability to multi-task to take care of all required duties. I can assist with running errands, shop and take the patients to and from doctor visit. I have lots of patience and I enjoy talking with and providing companionship for these patients.
