Julia arrived nearly 15 minutes late on her first day because her 'tummy' was bothering her. Julia thought it was appropriate to wear short shorts and a small midriff saying "I spent the night at my boyfriends house and I didn't have any other clothes to wear". Julia watched a movie on her phone with our youngest child after we had said that the TV would not be on during the day. Julia took ONE of our TWO children to a local playground, asking my mother (split level home/separate living quarters/works from home) to basically be in charge of the other. A few other poor judgement calls were made during the day that did not sit well with my husband and I. After the first day, Julia felt it was reasonable to ask for a $4/hr raise after stating "I'm being offered a job that pays $18hr", which honestly shocked me considering how poor her care was the first day. She had agreed to her starting hourly wage both at the interview AND just 2 days prior to her first day. I told her we could not do that but if she needed to pursue other avenues, that we would understand and appreciate 2 weeks notice (which equated to 4 working days) so we could find alternative care. Julia's response was that her 'car needed work done' and was not able to return to work, leaving us less than 24 hours to find a replacement. I would not recommend this "provider". She is unreliable and not trustworthy.
