I became a caregiver to be a positive influence in the life of those who are unable to care for themselves. I love bringing a smile and sense of excitement to others lives. I had a client who couldn't speak or physically take care of her self at all. Background information revealed that she was always depressed, sad, can be very angry and aggressive at times. I entered this bath shift with a caring smile on my face. I gently cleaned her up, while kindly explaining everything, dressed her, brushed her hair, and set her up to watch tv while I prepared lunch. I spoke kindly as I helped her eat her lunch. When finished she looked at me smiled and held my hand. And did not want to let go.
It's that loving caring understanding vibe I bring to every environment that makes people smile when I enter the room.
