Hello my name is Shirley and I live here in Fort Wayne. I became an care companion when my mother used to have her own Adult Foster Care, I was about 13. We had 6 seniors living there and they were just so unique. We had one gentleman who was in the army and I would sit and let him tell me stories for hours and he loved talking about his heritage, he was native American. Then when I became 18 I started taking care of Miss Mary a senior from our church. The elderly just amaze me with their stories and memories from their past.
