My name is Tee-Ya Carter a current graduate from Tennessee State University. By January I plan on being enrolled in nursing school to purse my career as a nurse practitioner to specialize in diabetes. Last year my grandmother passed away and for many years I would go back home during holidays and when I had days off from school to take care of her. My responsibilities were to bathe her , cook , fix her breathing machine , give daily medications such as insulin shots. We also loved watching game shows. I am type one diabetic so I know a lot about diabetes and other health problems that others may have since this is my passion and what I live with everyday. I'm a very caring , responsible and dependable person. If I tell you I'm going to do something it will be done. I do not have my certificate for CPR however , I took a class during my last semester so I'm well aware of what I need to do in case of an emergency situation. I'll also make myself available whenever someone needs me I don't mind.
