I was a part time companion for a wonderful woman who no longer drives from August 2015 - May 2016. We shopped (a lot! for clothes and home decor), picked up groceries and prescriptions, and attended appts with Drs and friends. I helped keep her new apartment clean and did the laundry as well as monitored her medications and made sure she had reasonable meals.
Prior to this I was a live-in caregiver for 4.5 years for an ALS patient and I found the relationship and experience very rewarding and enlightening. Unfortunately, she passed away.

I am not a CNA, but dealt with wheelchairs, catheters, a ventilator, nebulizer, cough-assist and lifting, bathing, and dressing her every day. (Her husband is a retired MD and was there most of the time, and there was a daily come-and-go CNA as well as 2 other live-in caregivers - we all shared the responsibilities.)

I am a nurturing and loving woman - reliable and patient - with a strong education and years of experience with children and a fondness for (and patience with) disabled and aging adults and seniors. I cared for my grandmother (she became blind and wheelchair bound from strokes) when I was a (much!) younger woman, and helped care for my mother as often as possible (she developed Alzheimers) until it became necessary to place her in a full time care facility.
I am also an avid animal lover with a sweet loving rescue dog♥ so if you have a pet, all the better!
