I am a Chicago native and have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, endorsed in Bilingual Education, and English as a Second Language from North Park University. During my undergraduate years, I previously worked as a Student Coordinator and Writing Tutor, as an Assistant Pre-Kindergarten teacher, and volunteered in Chicago Public School from a range of Pre-Kindergarten classrooms through First-Grade classrooms. My teaching philosophy is: It is my greatest passion in life to simultaneously learn with and from my students every day. I believe in the importance of fostering a brave space that cultivates their motivation and love for learning; through positive interactions, creative and inclusive outlets, and meaningful explorations by providing students with positive encouragement as they navigate the world around them inside and outside of the classroom. I would love the opportunity to be a part time nanny this summer before I start teaching in the fall as I love to work alongside of children seeing them grow and achieve new milestones everyday.
