Susan’s Bio
Hello!
My name is Suzy. I'm a licensed/Certified/Permissioned CNA in 5 states. I'm new to this platform but I have normally taken on clients with Alzheimer's Dementia, but not always. I have experienced clients with MS, Parkinson's, and other common Geriatric Conditions.
I have moved from the realm of big faciliry care to individualized. This is a personal choice I made based on typical substandard levels of care provided by facilities. I refuse to give anyone that type of standard! I treat each individual as though they were part of my family, or my loved one.
One of the complaints that most often occurs in big facilities is response times. Although I have never and would never ignore a call light, it can feel that way at times to patients in big facilities where there is just too much workload to be able to make any interactions of a good quality nature.
I have been trained and refreshed quite a extensively and I'm prepared to give your loved the care that they not only need, but deserve.
CNAs are not legally authorized in any of the states that I hold rights, to administer medications. I have done this but only in situations with my own family.
I'm looking into Medication Aide Training to be able to be more helpful in ways your loved one needs, and be in compliance with the law.
I'm currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Social Work and my areas of interest include Geriatrics with specialization in Alzheimer's.
If you would like to set up a time to speak with me I'd be delighted!
My rates are negotiable depending upon the level of care needed by your loved one, how far I will travel, if pet care would be involved etc. I do negotiate because I understand hardship as much as anyone!
