Chaffin’s Bio
I provide fun, engaging, organized care for seniors. Over the past several years I have helped care for my grandparents and senior neighbors. This has included companion care, housework, meal prep, account management, running errands, transportation, and helping build community.
In working with seniors, I have a personal understanding of what it is like to lose one's mobility and experience limitations with sight, sound, and memory. For about 3 years, I was in and out of a wheelchair due to a chronic leg problem while also healing from multiple concussions. I know what it is like to feel lost and frustrated in slowly losing one's capability to do life on one's own. Due to this understanding, I have had the privilege to connect with seniors who are dealing with these changes. This connection allows me to know when to support someone on a more detailed level, when to step back and let them ask for help, and when to create a combination of both.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Global Studies, am conversationally-versed in Spanish, and am currently training to become a nationally certified health and wellness coach.
