I have taken care of an elderly lady for a couple of months until she moved to a nursing home.
My mom had hip surgery. I helped with her therapy, did chores around the house. We also played games to keep her occupied.
My mother-in-law had dementia. I would keep her company. She would repeat things alot, but that was expected.
