I started helping out with my grandfather when he was diagnosed with altheimers. Even though at times it was very tough I enjoyed the time I got to spend with him. I knew then I wanted to help care for people.
Recently I cared for my aunt who was diagnosed with brain cancer. After having surgery she was in a vegetative state and needed full time care. I bathed her, changed her bedding, put her on a lift to move her to her wheelchair and take her outside , cleaned her trachea, etc.
